Old Porvoo. This pictoresque old town about half an hour from Helsinki is definitely worth a trip. Small alleys criss-cross the town that is perched on a small hill overlookign river Porvoo. The town was founded in 1346 and is one of six medieval town in Finland.
We took a holiday to Finland in August 2012 and this shot represents countryside for me. I'm from Imatra, a small town by Lake Saimaa, the biggest lake in FInland. The water was exceptionally high because of long rainy period and all small piers in front of lakeside saunas were submerged. Now I miss the quiet.
